Bio

What do you do when your life does not go as scripted? Write about it! The new script will prove to be quite exhilarating! That is exactly what Amanda Gia decided to do through characters in her books. She knew firsthand how absolutely crazy and unexpected events occurred in her life, and she was not alone. Aside from writing books that prick the heart and require tissues to wipe away tears induced by crying and laughter, she is a freelance article writer. Amanda holds a Master’s Degree in Humanities and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. She has modeled, been a scientist as well as a middle school science educator. She is currently a public administrator/statistical analyst due to the Master’s level course work she completed toward her MPA years ago. She will soon be re-entering the halls of academia on the higher education level to reinforce the importance of committing to lifelong learning and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, ARTS, mathematics) education to bring innovation back to the workforce and prepare students for the global economy.
Virginia is her home, but Amanda is an avid traveler who, if she had it her way, would travel even more. She loves to read, cook, play laser tag with her son, and plan events. Amanda is also very committed to her church by serving God through word and deed. If she had it all to do again, she wouldn’t; however, she would have picked up a fashion merchandising degree along the way. It’s never too late.
